TidyDo Terms of Service

Effective 3 October 2026 · Last updated October 2026

This is a draft, not a published agreement. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer. Before this is linked from an app store listing, have it reviewed — particularly Section 5 (Camera Integrations) and Section 9 (Disclaimers), which carry the most real-world exposure for this app specifically.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using TidyDo, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. Description of Service

TidyDo lets a household set a "baseline" photo of what a clean room looks like, then compares later photos against it using AI to identify items that are out of place, turning the result into a checklist that can be assigned to household members.

3. Accounts & Households

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

5. Camera Integrations

Read before connecting a Blink camera TidyDo's Blink integration is built against Blink's internal protocol, not an official public API — Blink publishes none. Using this integration is against Blink's Terms of Service, and Blink may suspend the Blink account you connect if they detect it. By choosing to connect a Blink camera, you acknowledge this risk and agree it's specific to your Blink account — TidyDo is not responsible for any action Blink takes against your Blink account as a result of this integration.

Where TidyDo integrates with a camera provider through that provider's own official developer program (for example, Ring), that integration is subject to that provider's own terms in addition to these.

6. Family Member Profiles

If you add a household member profile for someone who doesn't have their own device — including a minor — you represent that you have the authority to do so (as their parent or legal guardian, for example) and are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for removing it if that's no longer appropriate.

7. AI-Generated Analysis

Room comparisons and item detection are generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or occasionally wrong — an item might be missed, or something might be flagged that isn't actually out of place. TidyDo is a household organization aid, not a guarantee of a room's condition, and shouldn't be relied on for any purpose where that distinction matters (e.g., safety or security monitoring).

8. Subscriptions

TidyDo offers a free tier and paid plans. Each plan allows a set number of scans per calendar month, along with limits on rooms, paired cameras, scheduled scans, and how long photos are kept. A re-check counts as a scan in the same way a first scan does. Current plans and allowances are shown in the app before you buy.

Billing is handled entirely by the app store you installed TidyDo from (Google Play, or the App Store on iOS). We never receive or store your payment details.

Camera integrations are not guaranteed

Camera support depends on third parties and is offered on the terms described in section 5. The Blink integration is experimental and uses an unofficial interface that may stop working at any time. The Ring integration is in limited beta while our Ring listing is certified, and is available to a limited number of accounts, and so is the Google Nest integration while Google reviews TidyDo. None of them is guaranteed to remain available, and the loss of a camera integration is not by itself grounds for a refund — every plan remains fully usable with photos taken on your phone.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

TidyDo is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated results will be accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TidyDo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including any consequence of a connected camera provider suspending or restricting your account with them.

Needs legal reviewThe specific liability caps, indemnification language, and arbitration/dispute-resolution terms typical of a production Terms of Service have intentionally been left minimal here pending actual legal drafting.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, including the Acceptable Use section above.

11. Changes to These Terms

If these Terms change materially, we'll update the date at the top and, where required, notify you through the app.
